Pernod Ricard Winemakers - Using AI to win the trifecta of yield, maturity and quality

Pernod Ricard is a world-renowned premium wine business. As a multi-national business with iconic brands across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Spain they face significant challenges across their global grape growing and wine-making supply chains.

Pernod Ricard Winemakers began working with Deep Planet to address their challenges during the 2021 Australian growing season. Their key objectives were to predict the yield and maturity of their crops at scale using the VineSignal platform. The project spanned 1,000 hectares, covering multiple wine grape varieties across several key regions in South-Eastern Australia.

Check out Matthew Moate’s interview with Philip Deverell, National Viticulturist, Pernod Ricard Winemakers where they discuss the experience of using the VineSignal technology and working with the Deep Planet team.
